We should do our best to improve international ties, but closing Guantanamo is not the way to do it. In fact, if there are good reasons to close Guantanamo, to do so in order to improve our world image is not one of them. U.S. policies aren't subject to international opinion except when it affects them directly.<BR/><BR/>I'm not trying to persuade you though that it should stay open. You and I are both entitled to our opinions and I'm we are both deeply entrenched in them. And were it not for one small detail of your post I would greatly respect your opinion - but your utter bias shows with your link to wikipedia's "critism of Mormonism" article. It wouldn't matter if Romney wanted to close Guatanamo today, you would still hate him because he's Mormon. Shallow.<BR/><BR/>And as for WWJD? I don't recall Jesus deciding his actions based on what was popular in the world, in fact quite the opposite. I'm not saying that Jesus would approve of Guantanamo, but his opinion of it surely would not be affect by what the world thought.<BR/><BR/>Lastly, good find on that Quadrophenia album. I started listening to it about 18 years ago and still love it. If I made a list of the of the top 10 albums ever that would be on it, along with Zeppelin's 'In Through the Out Door'. If you like Quadrophenia I would highly recommend another one of their albums that came out a few years after that one called 'Who's Next'. Another one of the best albums ever.
